Why Blockchain Matters in Real Estate

Real estate involves many different records, documents, payments and steps. Blockchain technology could help make some of that information easier to verify, record and connect.

From digital property records and smarter transactions to tokenization and more connected systems, blockchain is creating new possibilities for how real estate may be bought, sold and owned.

Smarter Transactions

Smart contracts can help automate parts of a real estate transaction and reduce repetitive processes.

Digital Property Records

Blockchain can provide another way to record and verify property-related information while creating a transparent history of recorded changes.

Tokenization

Real estate can be represented digitally on blockchain networks, creating new possibilities for ownership, transfer and financing.

A More Connected Process

Blockchain could help bring together property records, documents, payments, and other parts of a real estate transaction that are often handled through separate systems today.

Your guide

Meet Kaeli

As I started learning about blockchain and the new technology making its way into real estate, I couldn’t help but talk about it.

But when I started sharing what I was learning, I could almost see the moment I lost people. Their expression would change, and there it was—the “deer in the headlights” look.

Living in Idaho, I know that look well. If you’ve ever come across a deer standing in the road at night, caught in your headlights and not quite sure which way to go—you know exactly what I mean.

That’s when I realized there needed to be a place where people could learn about these changes without having to understand all the technical language first.

So I created Deeds on Blockchain.
