Blockchain

A blockchain is a digital ledger that securely records and verifies transactions across a network of computers. Transactions are grouped into “blocks” that are linked together in order, creating a transparent and tamper-resistant record of activity.

Digital Deed

A digital deed can generally refer to a deed that is created, signed, stored, transmitted, or recorded electronically rather than handled entirely on paper. Electronic documents and electronic signatures already have legal recognition under federal and state laws, although the specific requirements for real estate documents and recording vary by jurisdiction. So a digital deed doesn’t necessarily mean blockchain. That’s an important distinction.

Smart Contract

A smart contract may sound complicated, but the basic idea is actually pretty simple. A smart contract is a computer program that runs on a blockchain and can automatically perform certain actions when predetermined conditions are met. Think of it as: “If this happens, then do that.” Instead of someone manually completing every step, certain parts of a process can be programmed to happen automatically.

Tokenization

At its simplest, tokenization is a way of representing rights or interests in a real-world asset digitally using blockchain technology. The asset could be a building, land, a home, or an investment in real estate. Instead of thinking about the token as the property itself, think of it as a digital representation of certain rights connected to the property or investment.

AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Artificial intelligence, or AI, refers to computer systems designed to perform tasks that normally require some form of human intelligence. AI can analyze information, recognize patterns, make predictions, generate content, answer questions and help people make decisions. A simple way to think about it is: AI helps computers work with information in intelligent ways.

Wallet

A blockchain wallet is a digital tool used to interact with blockchain networks and manage digital assets. A wallet uses cryptographic keys to allow someone to send, receive, or authorize transactions. The digital assets aren’t actually stored inside the wallet like money in a physical wallet. The wallet provides access to and control over assets recorded on the blockchain.
